U.S. Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary Shaun Donovan visited Poppleton Phase II Apartments to highlight how the development is promoting energy efficient innovation and creating jobs in Baltimore, MD, supporting President Barack Obama's goal of helping America "Win the Future."

This past October, workers broke ground on an ambitious plan to redevelop the Cooperative’s battered townhouses and nearby vacant lots into 111 affordable, energy-effi cient rental townhouse apartments.
